I can’t for the life of me figure out what I did to deserve such amazing little loves. Time is flying this month and I’m just trying to soak in these precious faces. My eldest has just recently earned the right to sing “All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth” and she couldn’t be happier about it. Loving that toothless smile, not to mention all the rest of those mischievous little grins. Indeed, feeling mighty lucky…
Hehe. That’s just my clever little lead in to what today’s post is really about (and I can’t resist a chance to share pics of my growing kiddies!). Not only am I one lucky and blessed mamma, but I also need to tell you about the Mighty Lucky Quilting Club!!!
Have you heard about this yet?? It just launched a couple of weeks ago and I’m just so excited to see the buzz growing around this fabulous new monthly subscription club hosted by the one and only Lucky Spool Media. This club is really a unique concept which I think it’s so brilliant. It’s the first monthly subscription club of its kind that focuses on challenging quilters with different aspects of the quilting process. So it’s almost like going to the gym, but for quilting- a super fun way to “work out” our quilt design muscles with a new challenge each month- each containing instruction, inspiration, and exercises from talented and popular and quilt makers! (ok, well, except for little old me…ha! Yes, I’m going to be offering the challenge in May!)
Mighty Lucky Quilting Club challenges will be a mystery each month, but subscribers will be delighted with the different design skills the quilt makers will be teaching. From piecing to quilting, and from physical design to color work…and everything in between…subscribers will learn something new each time. Quilters will explore topics like using bias tape, integrating photography, creating embroidery, doing innovative quilting techniques, learning about effective color, contrast and fabric choices, piecing in an improvisational (but guided) way, and more. Let me tell you- I’ve gotten a peek at what’s in store and am really excited about these challenges!
SO- here’s how it works- Challenges will be delivered by PDF on the first day of the month to the subscriber’s registered email account, beginning in January 2016. The Mighty Lucky Quilting Club is similar to a mystery “Block of the Month” club, but unlike a BOM club, these projects are focused on increasing a quilter’s design skills rather than simply completing a specific block or section of a quilt and I think that’s what I love most about this club- the change to grow our skills and to make something 100% unique and our own each month.
Subscriptions are just $5 per month, or $50 for the entire year. Quilters can receive any “backdated” challenges if they subscribe at the $50 rate any time during the year. To sign up, go to http://luckyspool.com/products/mighty-lucky-quilting-club
And check out this list of designers/trainers for the year! Wow! I’m REALLY excited about the challenge I have prepared for May, but am also eager to learn from the other designers and take on some fun new challenges.
January – Krista Fleckenstein
February – Season Evans
March – Rossie Hutchinson
April – Alison Glass
May – Amy Gibson
June – Angela Walters
July – Cheryl Atkinson
August – Sarah Fielke
September – Jacquie Gering
October – Nicole Vogelsinger

And be sure to catch each designer on Crafty Planner’s podcast (craftyplanner.com/podcast/) within their month. During the podcast, we’ll be discussing the challenge and talking in-depth about our design process with the lovely Sandi Hazlewood, host and podcaster.
As quilters work through each month’s challenge in the Mighty Lucky Quilting Club, they’ll be supported the whole time by the designers/trainers – who will provide tips and encouragement with a mid-month email. They’ll be able to share their work and watch fellow subscribers progress using #mightylucky on Instagram (by the way…do you Instagram? If not, consider joining the fun! Such a fun community of quilters on there. You can follow my IG feed at @StitcheryDickory). Anyway, so yes, we’ll be posting on IG and they’ll also be doing some awesome giveaways throughout the year (seriously, top notch goodies!).
Sound like fun? Join us! You can sign up here. And don’t forget to mention this to your guild! I know that they’re offering custom quotes for full guild sign-ups (just email email@example.com). Wouldn’t this be such a fun program to do throughout the year as an entire guild? Truly, it’s a new and unique program that’s perfect for individuals and guilds.
And don’t forget about the 2016 Sugar Block Club, that I’m hosting right here on my blog. If you haven’t yet signed up to receive those free monthly block pattern emails, you can find out more info and sign up here.
Thanks for stopping by today! I’m so looking forward to all of these exciting programs in 2016, and do hope you’ll join me!!
