Just wrapped up my new Expandable Pack-It-In Tote, just in time for the Sewing Summit next week! Unfortunately it’s not from the Summit’s Travel Handmade Series…it’s from the “I’ve Been Hunting For This Bag For Monthes & Finally Found It Group”.
This is actually the first purse I’ve ever made. Go me! Seriously though, I’m feeling proud…this thing was a beast…or maybe just bag-making in general is a beast?! Zippered pockets, mag snaps, eyelets, Flexi-tubed handles, fusible fleece inside, and a gathered base inside and out. I think my sewing confidence just went up 10 points!
Perfect size to hold my wallet, camera, phone, Moo cards, knitting project, and goodies I might pick up at the shop hop or fat quarter swap.
Here it is “expanded” with the ties undone…Holy space balls! It’s huge! Perfect for the beach or a crazy fabric shopping spree (the later is more likely in landlocked Colorado).
Yay for bags….and sanity. I probably won’t be making another for awhile!
