Boy, does it feel amazing to have made a a crater-sized dent in my paper pieced pinwheel AMH quilt (the time is coming for a proper name). What a rare day…HOURS of virtually uninterrupted sewing…and who do I have to thank but my poor sick preschooler who spent the day watching movies in my bed, and my hubby who took the rest of the kids out for errand running, including a pediatrician appointment full of vaccinations! (I believe he has officially reached Sainthood).
Meanwhile, me and my coffee got busy…stitch, trim, press, repeat. I stitched 120 rectangular sections- each 1/8th of a 15″ block. So 20 blocks total, 480 patches, and I’m ready to rip the papers off all of them! WHEW!
And serious stitching means serious tunage! Nothing gets me in a quilting groove better than Johnny Cash, Michael Buble, Lily Allen, and John Legend (quite the group, I know).
As my stack of finished blocks grows, so does my pile of pretty little triangular scraps. And I have a plan for them! They’re definitely going to be making an appearance on the back of this quilt, and in some throw pillows for my bed…but more to come on that later.
