One Last Christmas Post, Then Get The Heck Off The Computer!

December 24, 2011 1 Comment

Ah! It’s Christmas Eve already! Not time for blogging…time for wrapping, baking, snuggling, sipping cocoa, and feverishing vaccuming my house to prepare for dinner guests. We just got a foot of snow here in Denver and things couldn’t be more magical!

Of course I’m finishing gifts as the last minute, as usual. Still quilting this table runner for my parents. Or maybe it’s a bed runner? Sorta turned out gigantic. Oops. Whatever, they’re gonna love it.

Got this one done in time though! New stockings for my sweet friend’s little boys. Used this fabulous tutorial over on FabricWorm! So easy!

Oh yeah, and got my Twitter Secret Santa Swap gift a few days ago! AAHH! Euphoria! It was from Katy of I’m A Ginger Monkey!!! She’s one of my favorite bloggers…and from the UK. Yeah, the loot was wrapped in a Top Shop shoe box- SAWEET! The gifts are SO me…great job stalking, Katy! I love it!

Soaking in the holiday family fun this week too. School recital was classic…we nearly cried laughing :) My little performer did her interpretive dance & hand motions the entire time, while the rest of the class stood perfectly still like little toy soldiers.

The kicker? (yes, you have permission to think I’m the worst mom ever at this point) We forgot underwear. I’M SORRY! Rushing straight from gymnastics, late, stuffing food down their throats on the way. Somehow it never occurred to me to just leave her in the leotard under the dress. Wow. They put her in the front row, where she swished her dress & raised her arms, to my horror, the entire time. Luckily, we survived without any surprise wardrobe malfunctions.

Crafty ornament time with Daddy. When I whipped out the glitter, he nearly had an aneurysm….since he loooves glitter so much.

And baking, with lots of help from the spoon-licking elfs.

Somehow we had enough batter left over to make our famous outmeal no-bakes for all the neighbors.

The fun continues! Off to spend a magical, joyful, fabulous day with family and friends! Hope you’re doing the same.

XO
