What an exhausting amazing weekend! I hosted our neighborhood yard sale yesterday (awesome success) and was tickled to find out that 2 gals on my street are die hard quilters! Who knew? One sold me this aaaaadorable antique 1930s log cabin for super cheap. I just love the sweet patchwork and subtle stripe pattern!
Char loves it too! Maybe this one will have to go in her room.
Proceeds of the garage sale (minus a couple bucks to the ice cream man) go toward my trip to The Sewing Summit this October in Salt Lake. I’ve got a spot reserved on the shop hop bus, where we’ll all get a discount card and be paraded around to the best quilt shops in town. Eek! I’m going to need to CONTROL MY WALLET!
I’ve also had fun this week making some serious headway on a bright n’ girlie disappearing 9-patch quilt for my “threenager” (as my friend Ginny calls our moody 3yo’s). Can’t wait for her to snuggle up with it when I tuck her in, then wander out into the hallway 47 times whining for more milk, water, juice, food, stories, blankies, and pillows…oh wait, no, that was tonight.
Now off the computer and on to an ice cream treat from Sonic (sounds like I eat a ton of ice cream, doesn’t it?). It’s 10pm but still blazing hot in this old house! I need one!
