Finally got my package in the mail to my partner for Sukie’s Twitter Secret Santa Swap yesterday (the deadline of course…that’s how I usually roll). Can I admit to you that I had sweaty palms and my heart was racing as I handed the box to the Postman? My partner is ridiculously talented and, honestly, she’s one of the only bloggers at the Sewing Summit that I didn’t really get the chance to chat with. So I reeaally had to stalk her on Flickr & her blog to try and come up with ideas of what she might like. Sure, I could have just gotten her a quilting book or notion on her wishlist, but that’s so predictable! I really wanted to make something! <panicked expression>
Here’s what I finally settled on- a bright, rainbow patchwork mug cozy w/ Sashiko detail, on a re-usable Starbucks-ish mug filled with chocolates…
I figure even if she hates the mug and the cozy, the chocolates are a sure win.
…and a foxy paper-pieced graph paper sketch book- for all those genius quilty inspirations.
How cute is that lil guy?? I spotted him on Quilt Dad’s blog the other day and it was love at first sight. The pattern is by Sonja of Artisania– super cute stuff!
I wonder who drew me for the swap!!! The pics everyone’s posting of their gifts all look so yummy. I can’t wait to get mine!!!
thank you for sharing this post…awesome
