Triple Barnstar Pattern is Here!

January 21, 2015 34 Comments

YAY!  Happy day!  I’m so excited to finally be offering the Triple Barnstar quilt pattern in my shop!

Blog Post 5Blog Post 1

This has been one of my all time favorite quilts to design and make for so many reasons.  Well, first, I can’t ignore how much I love those juicy Joel Dewberry prints, but more than that, I just love how darn quickly it comes together (thanks to those big fat blocks!).  It’s 72″ X 72″ – great size for a throw (and I use it for a coverlet for  my queen bed), but some folks have even added their own white border to make it even larger, which I think is a really fun option.

I’m hoping to find this pattern. I bought it from craftsy with the fabric but can only find the fabric kit. I’ve moved since I bought it and I’m afraid it was lost in the move. Can anyone direct me to where I can purchase it again!

One of my sewing 2015 resolutions is to sew a quilt based on a pattern. My quilts are usually serendipitous! This is the pattern for me. THANKS!

This is beautiful Amy! I love how you usually use white as a background fabric. So clean and pretty looking on the bed.

I have the kit from Craftsy but did not realize you designed it! I too like the big block beauty of it. I hope to get it out of my stash this winter and into a project!

Such a gorgeous pattern! I’d love to do it in a smaller scale as a baby quilt.

The part about this quilt that makes me smile? The barn owls fabric that you used in your triple barn star quilt and all the quilted swirls that look like ‘ooo’ to mimic the owl’s call. Great design choices Amy!

Wow! Found your blog through the Craftsy blogger awards page. Fantastic blog. I love this pattern. It is a perfect marriage between my love of traditional quilts and my daughters love of modern quilts. I will be making this for her in Amy Butler fabrics. Amy, I made this quilt with you on Craftsy and it’s GORGEOUS! I ordered the same backing you used and it’s #3 in the queue to quilt on my new Tin Lizzie Sit Down I picked up at the quilt show in Houston last Nov.

I made this quilt with the same fabrics. It is at the quilters now. This is without a doubt the most enjoyable quilt I have ever made. It went together like a dream. The directions were straight forward and so easy to follow. I made it queen size by adding borders.
I’m now looking at different fabric to make another one. Thank you Amy for such a wonderful quilt.

Amy thanks for such a fun quilt to put together. I made one for my niece’s birthday and it so much I bought another set of the fat quarter bundle of the fabric to made one for myself. I to needed it to be bigger and added boarder which really framed the quilt center so beautifully. love that it only took me a weekend to put it together. Create some more patterns like it I!m hooked,
