Wow! First post since the first ever Sewing Summit, and I can hardly narrow down what to include…my camera and my soul are bursting with inspiration. This weekend was about so many things for me- re-energizing, inspiration, connecting, sharing, learning…more than anything though, it was about people- woman young and old, modern and traditional, loud and quiet, big blogs and newbies, all with an undying passion for sewing, for creating and sharing beautiful things. Imagine a 4 day slumber party with 200 of your best fabric-junkie friends…just eating, drinking, chatting, laughing, sewing til all hours of the night. Absolutely magical.
I’m overwhelmed with so many wonderful new friends, and at the chance to have met the ladies behind my favorite blogs, who all turned out be as sweet and down to earth as you could possibly imagine. Here are just a few…

From left to right, Kati from From The Blue Chair, me, Elena from Breakfast for Dinner, Rachel from Stitched In Color, and Jennifer from Ellison Lane.

Elena and I with the endlessly lovely and entertaining Amanda Jennings of Hey Porkchop!

Roomie roomie! Mel of Mel’s Own Place and I noshing on some grease at the Utah famous Training Tables.

Fancy Tiger girls Sadie Fox & Christina! Whoop whoop!

The legendary BariJ, who so graciously forgave me for mispronouncing her name like “Berry” instead of “Bah-rie.”

Ah! Idol freak out! Here’s an excited me with Amy Smart of Diary Of A Quilter and Allison of Cluck Cluck Sew. I feel like I’m at market! Well, how I imagine I’d feel at market.

V & Co. in the house!!! Vanessa Christensen was such a dear- thrilled to have taken her photography class.
Santa, can I please have a new camera for Christmas???

SO. MUCH. FUN. Thanks so much Jennifer and Elena for organizing this unbelievably fun dinner! I could have stayed all night!!
Hmmm, what else? Great classes, fat quarter swap, rainbow charm swap, TONS of swag (and I mean that literally…I had to check an entire additional suitcase just to get it all home! More on all that later…stay tuned!
