Project Overload…And I Like It

September 26, 2011 1 Comment

Wow, where has the week gone?? Can’t believe I’ve been off of here for 8 days! My time’s been swallowed by carpet cleaning, singing recitals, get-togethers, and tickle torturing my kiddos…whew. Good to be back!

I’m on project overload!!! Sewing Summit’s less than 2 weeks away and I have 2 bags in the works- eek! Hope I can finish them in time! No fabric pics yet (they’re in the wash!), but here’s an idea of my insanity- notions gathered from 4 different stores. Sheesh, am I launching into space or making a purse? Sometimes it’s hard to tell.

I’m also in quilt overdrive! (optimistically anticipating a spot at a holiday craft market here in Denver) Here’s one I just basted last night. It’s kinda small, but I’m thinking funky modern gender-neutral baby quilt/play mat? All I know is I’d love to receive this at a baby shower! Hopefully someone else will too.

Getting ready to baste this one next, as soon as I’m done quilting the grey one. Just a little old Prince Charming jelly roll…mmmm. I love that line.

Quilts upon quilts, bags upon bags, AND I just learned to knit…yes, a complete new craft! I know, I’m nuts. Here’s my fun little practice swatch.

Thinking I need a good take-along travel project for the Summit, so gonna make a pretty cowl out of THIS luscious goodness- Malabrigo Chunky in Frank Ochre and Verde Esperanza. You likey? It was hard for me not to eat these skeins right there in the store.

Well, that’s the wrap on me! Gotta run- sticky floors and naked kids are callin my name!

Happy Monday!
