So Little To Do And So Much Time

October 25, 2011 Leave a Comment

Wait…Strike that. Reverse it.This is one of those weeks when things are really happening…and when I say happening, I mean HAPPENING. Creative juices are flooding my head, and my sewing machine needle’s about to melt off (or is that my finger being attacked by an angry steaming iron?)…I’ve hardly had the time to snap cute pics and sit down to blog about it all.

First off- and I’m so pumped about this- I’ve been meeting with some certain unmentionable craft group peeps about possibly commissioning me to design some quilty project patterns for their site. SO exciting! We’re getting together this week to chat more details, so I need to get my designs from my head to the paper, stat! [Enter: Flipping Awesome Colored Pencil Set].

Picked these sharp new babies up this morning, and I literally want to eat them, they are so stinking yummy. I got to splurge and get the out-of-my-price-range set thanks to Hobby Lobby’s 40% off coupon. Yes, please! Save this link to your favorites and pull it up at the check out- they will scan it from your smart phone!

What else? Hmm, new quilt designs are falling from the sky like mana from heaven. Accidentally cut up a bunch of cute new Lori Holt fabric using the wrong-angled ruler (I swear it said 60 degrees!). Had to scrap plan A (big beautiful stars), and improv this hexi cuteness instead. I love it! Pattern in the works!

And what about these? What in the world will become of these? Time will tell, my pretties, time will tell.

We also did lots and lots of painting this week! And I must say, if you’re gonna do it, do it right. Doubled-fisted – that’s my girl.

Um, no art here, unless tooth blackening counts. But now you see what I’m trying to work around every day- this cuteness- I try to get stuff done and I have to just stop and squeeze her. 45 minutes later and I’m still in a trance, kissing the top of her head. Nothing accomplished.

But then again, snuggling is on the top of my list anyway.
